I discovered a love for drawing as soon as I could hold a pen, which was further bolstered by the imaginative galaxy of Star Wars. Watching the films countless times over and drawing the menagerie of creatures and ships from far-flung worlds led to an interest in animals on Earth as well. Drawing retained my attention and as I grew and moved across continents, this remained the same.
During my teenage years, I stumbled across the field of biological illustration, which would allow me to merge my interests in animals and art. I attended the University of Florida (B.S. Interdisciplinary Studies), where I majored in Biological Illustration and minored in Entomology/Nematology.
After graduating, I realized that I wanted integrate my Christian faith with my love of nature, and am currently in the process of creating a new body of work reflective of that endeavor. I'm still as big a Star Wars fan as ever, and continue to create pieces inspired by that franchise, as well as several other fandoms like Marvel and DC Comics. My wonder of the natural world, faith, love of science-fiction, and comics continue to influence my art, and I hope you join me to see the results.
